DIRECT MEDIA INC. TAKES HOME 10 PRESTIGIOUS AWARDS
(VISALIA, CA)—The Fresno Ad Federation recently announced that local marketing and communications agency Direct Media Inc. (DMI) is the recipient of four Gold and six Silver ADDY Awards for creative excellence.
The American Advertising Federation (AAF) holds the ADDY competition annually, and it is the largest of its kind in the world. There are three tiers to the contest: (1) locals compete against the best in their market; (2) local winners compete against others in a district competition; and (3) district winners compete in the national ADDY Awards competition. DMI will now go on to the second tier of the competition.
The awards come during a busy year for DMI. “Right now, we are busy helping jumpstart a number of clients through out-of-the-box marketing,” says DMI president Karen Tellalian. “We aren’t going to stop to celebrate—at least, not for long.”
The level of gold was awarded in the magazine editorial spread or feature category for the Watts Home Tour, the Levitan Home Tour, My Big Fat Greek Gyro Culinary Feature, and High School Friends, Kevin Costner Feature. Other Silver award winners were: the Levitan Home (magazine cover); Miracle League Brings Together Special People (editorial spread); Guy Fieri Cooks it up in Visalia (editorial spread); Lively Living – Surfing Fiji (editorial spread); davidswann.com (full-page, four-color ad); and Kaweah Delta Health Care District “life’s calling. answer.” campaign (tradeshow exhibit).
Direct Media, Inc. publishes Lifestyle, Direct, Wedding Style, and several other Valley publications. The company is a marketing and communications firm, and it serves the branding and advertising needs of clients up and down the West Coast.
